What data is collected and why?

Contact form. If you write through the form in the Contact section, your name, email and message are collected. They are used solely to respond to your inquiry. The legal basis is your consent, given by voluntarily submitting the form. This form is processed through Formspree, Inc., which acts as data processor (more information in Formspree's privacy policy ↗).

Web analytics. If you accept analytics cookies in the banner, Google Analytics 4 is used to understand, in aggregate form, how the site is used (pages visited, visit duration, device type, approximate location at city/country level, and where you came from). This information is not used to personally identify you. The legal basis is your consent. The data processor is Google Ireland Limited — more information in Google's privacy policy ↗.

How long is data kept?

Contact messages are kept for as long as necessary to handle your inquiry. Analytics data is kept according to Google Analytics' standard configuration (by default, up to 14 months).

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to contact@rubenbarrocal.com. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) ↗ if you believe the processing of your data does not comply with the regulations.

International transfers

Google and Formspree may process data on servers outside the European Economic Area, under recognized safeguards (such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses).

Cookie policy

A cookie is a small file saved in your browser. This site uses:

• Necessary technical storage: to remember your choice regarding cookies (does not require consent, essential for the cookie notice itself to work).
• Basic anonymous signal (before your decision, or if you reject): Google Analytics runs in "consent denied mode" — it receives at most an anonymous, aggregated visit, with no cookie or identifier of any kind, and without being able to distinguish you from another visitor.
• Full analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4): _ga, _ga_* — only activated if you accept the banner. With them, it's possible to measure where you came from, approximate country/city, device and behavior on the site in more detail.
